In-person & virtual NAIDOC Event
Join us on Friday 3rd July from 1:00pm-2:00pm for our annual NAIDOC Animals of the Dreaming experience, delivered both in-person and digitally by Brewarrina Elder, Uncle Col alongside Taronga’s Zoo Education team.
Aligned with the 2026 NAIDOC theme, “50 Years of Deadly,” this program recognises the strength, resilience and cultural knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through storytelling and close encounters, students will explore the deep connections between animals, Country and culture, gaining insight into the significance of native species within Dreaming stories.
This unique learning experience offers an authentic opportunity to engage with First Nations perspectives while celebrating one of the world’s oldest continuing cultures.
